Muslims Unite

The Prophet said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself." (Bukhari)

The Next Level

Taken from the tape : The Next Level: Islamic songs and raps

The tape was funded by the Muslim Youth of North America (MYNA), a non-profit organization with a mission to develop Islamic awareness in Muslim youth through North America.

We curse the Muslims for being thus and look down on them for fake regimes as we whisper for changes. We trek with our muck rifles and mishedes shooting off at the mouth; cutting down everything - past, present, future because we have been wronged. And just as soon as they allow us, we might re-open the doors that have been closed for nine centuries, ya, just as soon as they allow us, that’s not good enough, we have to take it to the next level. Its no longer about what they did, but ask yourself something - What did you do? No…. the question that should be asked is - What will we do? Ya… WE. Not me, you, them… WE. Because if change is going to happen, its going to have to be us. We are a omma so fragmented that there isn’t really a we, so the duty is upon us, the youth generation, its up to us to take it to the next level. No more half stepping five different ways, we have to go the extra mile. But that’s not you school of thought? Not your masjid? We have been created, nations and tribes that we may know one another.

And when did Islam become broken down into sects? Each patented, copy written, stamped and approved - which produced more differences than similarities - forgetting that we all worship One God. But among us there are Muslims we can’t even recognize. Be proud of who you are - stand up as one of the best nations evolved from mankind. Encouraging the good. Forbidding the evil. Being there for one another. Though belief and action we effect change. Placing first our trust in Allah - that is the next level and that is where we want to take it… to the next level.
