said: "Whoever says: Lă 'ilăha 'illă 'allăhu wahdahu lă shareeka lahu, lahulmulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa `ală kulli shay'in qadeerun(7) 100 times would get the reward of manumitting ten slaves, one hundred good deeds would be written for him, one hundred sins would be remitted from him, it would be a shield for him from the Shaytan that day till night, and nobody would arrive with better than what he arrived with except for one that had done more than him."
And he said: "Whoever says, Subhăna 'allăhi wa bihamdihi(8)
100 times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were like the foam of the Sea."
The Messenger of Allah
said: "There are two phrases which are light on the tongue, heavy in the balance, and beloved to the All Merciful; Subhăna 'allăhi wa bihamdihi, Subhăna 'allăhil-`atheemi(9)."
said: "That I say: Subhăna 'allăhi, wal-hamdu lil-lăhi wa lă 'ilăha 'illă 'allăhu, wa 'allăhu 'akbaru(10)
said: "The most beloved words to Allah the Exalted are four, it harms you not with which you begin: Subhăna 'allăhi, wal-hamdu lil-lăhi wa lă 'ilăha 'illă 'allăhu, wa 'allăhu 'akbaru(11)."
, that the Prophet
left her place at an early time as he was about to pray the Subh Prayer. She was in her prayer area; he returned after he had entered upon the time of dhuhă(13), and she was sitting. He said "Are you still in that state I left you upon?" She said: Yes. The Messenger of Allah
said "After I left you, I repeated four phrases, three times. If these were balanced against what you have said since the beginning of this day they would weigh (or, as the Arabic allows, outweigh) them: Subhăna 'allăhi `adada khalqihi, subhăna 'allăhi ridhă nafsihi, subhăna 'allăhi zinata `arshihi, subhăna 'allăhi midăda kalimătihi(14)."
said to an A'rabee(15) "Say: Lă 'ilăha 'illa 'allăhu wahdahu lă shareeka lahu, 'allăhu 'akbaru kabeera, wal hamdu lil-lahi katheera, subhăna 'allahi rabbil `ălameena, lă hawla wa lă quwwata 'illă bil-lăhil 'azeezil-hakeemi(16)."
