The Prophet said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself." (Bukhari)

Reason Vs. Knowledge

Reason vs. Knowledge

People these days tend to think that knowledge is of great importance, which it is, but consider this...People have come up with machines that do all the knowledge stuff for us. Computers, calculators, and all those new-fangled contraptions are all taking over jobs that used to be done by humans, and so we tend to stop using our reason, thinking we are so smart that we came up with all those contraptions, doing things just because we feel like it, not thinking of the consequences of our actions. What was once the differentiator and separator between humanity and all the other creatures on this Earth is now going away- our reason, our ability to assess things, to discern between right and wrong. If you type in a question into a computer, it won't give you an answer, but all sorts of websites...written by humans. A scantron has to have the answers programmed into it to mark tests because it can't read as we can. The blessed prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once remarked, "The best blessing Allah has ever given to a human is reason." Reason, which is now being forgotten. There is so much proof of Allah's existence and the validity of Islam that anyone who uses an ounce of his intellect could clearly see that Islam is the only way to go, however, so few people us it. All I can say is that unless we keep using our reason, we will descend to the level of animals.
